Curiosity. Precision. Patience. A little bit of speed. Raymond LEI is a Mechanical Engineering & Robotics student at Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT), building machines that move and code that thinks.
I fell for real engineering by building models—LEGO first, then Gunpla and Warhammer—worlds I could invent by hand. Coding came later as vibe coding with agents: I like co-creating with them so imagination turns into things that exist.
Digging into motorsport-related engineering—vehicles, sensing, and control.
Aiming for graduate study in Europe in motorsport or vehicle engineering, and helping start a Formula Student team.

Seventeen. Always has been my number.
Building Poker LM, and AI for robotics and optics.
Always adding more to the toolbox.
Every project is a lap: learn the track, push the limit, debrief, go again.
Fundamentals: mechanics, maths and code.
Turning ideas into prototypes that move.
Testing, breaking, improving, then repeating.
Poker LM tries a Transformer on Texas Hold’em—a feasibility probe that also builds chops for Blood Bowl LM and AI×optics. Mostly a workout for engineering and the training pipeline.
The hard part was training cost and GPU time. Money matters in research—and even with strong agents, you need to own the project 100%, or you burn time learning and fixing while you build.

“Measure twice, print once. Then print again.”
What fills the hours between lectures and lab sessions.
Red through good seasons and hard ones. I watch the strategy and the engineering as closely as the overtakes. Favourite driver: Charles Leclerc.
Building and painting miniatures: hours of patience for a few millimetres of detail. On the table: Luna Wolves.
Precision is a habit, at the track and at the workbench.
